Okay, so I’ve been really busy with all the school load but there are things that I absolutely have to get off my chest before we plunge into another week.
First off, welcome home mom and dad. You’ve been missed. Yes.
See, whenever they go to India, I rejoice for a chance to be free. But this time, I have extremely busy and well, I fell sick. So I’ve been kinda feeling the need for “sickness attention” from them. Above and beyond that, the house was kinda getting lonely without them.
And also to Yash, thank you for the walk down the beach.
Aah, see, this needs no explaining. I had a great time. Sometimes in the midst of all your ‘crap’ talk, I see so much of the real you. You’ll be fine, yeah? And hopefully rich. I need the money!
To Uzair, for all the online crap he’s been feeding me.
Seth, tum bade bhadiya insaan ho. Your oh-so-late-night musings amaze me. And did I mention, your sense of humour rocks. If you don’t become the sexy architect *highly likely*, you can sure get up on the stage and get the pants off any person.
To Kirpal Singh, for making me read poetry.
Aah, yes, my Creative Writing Professor. He hasn’t exactly been forcing us poetry but he’s been going on and on about the beauty of art. Singapore Writer’s Festival was brilliant. Oh, and since we’re at it, I want to share this form of poetry called epigrams that I am oh-so-fascinated with suddenly. Oscar Wilde, especially. Here’s a few of his snippets:
My own business bores me to death.
I prefer other people’s.
Education is an admirable thing,
but it is as well to remember that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught.
The bond of all companionship,
whether in marriage or in friendship,
is conversation.
